When it comes to edible printing, decoration and paper usage there are various options. All have their unique characteristics and their best use-cases. But what material do you use when? And what are the pros and cons? We dived into it and made the ultimate guide. Check it out on our website.
What is edible wafer paper?
Edible paper is a thin, edible sheet made only from natural ingredients like potato starch, maltodextrine and sunflower oil. It is versatile and commonly used for various cake and confectionery decorations, as well as printing edible images with a desktop printer without breaking.
What is edible carton?
Edible carton like baked sheets (often referred to as baking wafers or starch wafers) is made from a blend of starches, wheat and cellulose. This material is primarily used for flatbed printing high-resolution edible images and logos or as bottom for thicker baking products like Lebkuchen.
When to use carton edible paper?
Carton edible paper is best used for flatbed high-resolution digital edible printing where color accuracy and detail are critical, and you have enough time for the ink to dry. Also, for thicker baking products like Lebkuchen that are produced in batches it is a very useful product.
